In-Person Training

Online Training Modules

Self-paced online modules designed specifically for direct support professionals are available through the NADD learning portal. The full training package is $75.

How to Get Certified

Optional: Prepare for your exam. Training is not required for certification, but our DSP core competency training and free practice questions are recommended ways to prepare.

Step 1: Become A Member

NADD membership is required for certification. Join or renew your membership to get started.

Step 2: Apply

Log in and submit your DSP Certification application, including the prerequisites and required documentation.

Step 3: Pass The Online Examination

DSP Certification is earned by passing the NADD-DSP online exam, which covers the DSP core competency areas. Once your application is approved, you’ll access and complete the exam through the member portal. Free practice questions are available to help you prepare.

Step 4: Earn Your Credential

Upon passing, you’ll receive your NADD-DSP certification.
