Ministry and Life Institute Registration Form

(Note: No institute will be offered in 2018 due to the Diaconate Congress that year. The next institute, NDI, will be offered in June 2019.)

There are two ways to register for MLI. Simply fill-in the online form (below) or download and print the form that is attached at the bottom of this page.

Online registrations may be paid by credit card through PayPal. No PayPal account is needed; just select the box "I do not have a PayPal account" to process your card. You can also register online and pay by check made payable to: National Association of Diaconate Directors. Please include a copy of your MLI registration confirmation email with your check. Mail to: NADD, 7625 North High Street, Columbus OH 43235

Please remember that participants are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. See "Hotel Information" below.

NADD Refund Policy
NADD will provide refunds on the following schedule:
- Cancellations prior to May 1, 2017: 100% ($2,000)
- Cancellations after May 1 but before May 15: 80% ($1,600)
- Cancellations after May 15 but before June 1: 50% ($1,000)
- Cancellations after June 1: 0% ($0)

Hotel Information

The official hotel of the 2017 MLI is the Doubletree by Hilton located at 175 Hutchinson Parkway, Columbus, Ohio 43235. Participants are responsible for making their own reservations and for paying their own bills.

MLI participants get a special room rate of $112/night plus 17.50% tax. Rooms include airport transportation, a full daily breakfast, and daily transportation to PCJ and back. Participants are responsible for making their own reservations, all transportation to and from Columbus, and payment for lodging and meals other than those noted in the MLI program schedule. The room block cut-off date is May 23, 2017.

Bridging Ecumenism and Interfaith Relations

Deacon: Bridging Ecumenism and Interfaith Relations

Join NADD members from across the country as we gather on April 26-28, 2017 at the Sheraton on Capitol Square in Columbus, Ohio.  The 2017 NADD convention will provide an opportunity to consider diaconal ministries in relation to people of other faiths while developing a deeper understanding of other faith traditions.

The theme of the convention, "Bridging Ecumenism and Interfaith Relations," bids us to consider the ways in which we can integrate our own Catholic identity with an appreciation of how others relate to God. Between general sessions and workshops, there will be multiple opportunities to learn and grow.

Sheraton

HOTEL RESERVATION

The convention will be held at the Sheraton on Capitol Square in downtown Columbus. The hotel is located in the heart of Ohio's capitol, convenient to nearby restaurants, shopping, mu­seums and theaters. The Sheraton features a full-service Starbucks, an upscale fitness center and an exclusive Sheraton Club Lounge with spectacular views. Just a few steps from the hotel, climb on the free "C-Bus" that travels north and south along High Street so that you can visit restaurants and shops in German Village, the Arena District and more.

Important note: the cutoff date for hotel reservations is April 3 . There will be a marathon race in downtown Columbus on the weekend of the convention, so hotel rooms will become scarce. Don't wait to make your room reservation!

2018 Diaconal Congress 

NADD is organizing the 2018 Diaconal Congress of Deacons to be held in the Archdiocese of New Orleans in July 2018. This event marks the 50th anniversary of the renewal of the Order of Deacon as a permanent ministry in the Church. 

 

Planning for this speical event is underway, but we need your financial support to make it happen!
